Meet Dr. Christie Sanford

Christie Sanford, DDS



Dr. Christie Sanford loves her patients and loves being part of the dental community. She currently resides in Greensboro with her husband Ryan and their five children.

As a mother of five, she takes a gentle approach and has experience working with children of all ages. Her fun personality and caring demeanor helps her patients relax and feel at ease. Dr. Sanford enjoys interacting with her patients and getting to know them on a personal level. She values these relationships and the time she gets to spend helping others each day.

Dr. Sanford received her undergraduate degree in chemistry with minors in genetics and English at North Carolina State University in 2003. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina in 2010. She performed her general practice dental residency at the University of North Carolina Hospital. Dr. Sanford received an award for Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement in the study of prosthodontics in 2009 from the American College of Prosthodontists.

She has demonstrated her commitment to professional excellence by attending continuing education courses regularly. She recently completed a continuing education course in ClearCorrectâ„¢ in 2012 and earned her Implant Fellowship in 2013. In 2015 she became certified in 6-month smiles orthodontics. She is also certified in the bOHP (baby oral health program); this program focuses on the prevention of cavities in children ages 6 months to 3 years. Dr. Sanford has volunteered her services for several community events, including the Moncure Fire Department Health Fair, the Piedmont Health Service Outreach Program, the UNC Dental School Student Action Coalition, the Missions of Mercy Clinic, the UNC Mouth Guard Projects, and, most recently, Give Kids a Smile. In her free time, she enjoys chasing her children, reading and traveling.
